After just one season with Chelsea, Senegalese central defender Kalidou Koulibaly has signed for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté and Ruben Neves, Saudi Arabia has attracted a new player with experience of European soccer in the shape of Senegalese central defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Just one year after arriving at Chelsea, where he made 32 appearances, the 32-year-old Senegalese international has signed a contract until June 2026 with Al-Hilal, who paid €23 million for the transfer, a few days after spending €55 million to recruit Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves.

This week, two other Chelsea players are expected to sign in Saudi Arabia: Edouard Mendy to Al-Ahli and Hakim Ziyech to Al-Nassr.
