Mercato Real: Is Asensio's move to PSG a done deal?

On his way out of Real Madrid this summer, Marco Asensio has been linked with a number of clubs in recent days, including PSG. According to El Chiringuito, the Spanish midfielder is set to sign for Paris this summer.

Author of 12 goals and 8 assists for Real Madrid this season, Marco Asensio will be leaving the club this summer after eight years of loyal service. The 27-year-old left-footed Spanish attacking midfielder was not a permanent fixture under Carlo Ancelotti, but has proved an important starter off the bench in recent months.

Although Real Madrid have offered him a contract extension, Asensio has decided to seek more playing time elsewhere, <a href=/news/mercato-asensio-on-the-move-from-real-madrid>as revealed by several Spanish media in recent days. Aston Villa, Arsenal, AC Milan and PSG were quickly mentioned as possible destinations.

PSG push for Asensio

PSG are looking for a left-footed right-winger this summer, and have a very good relationship with his agent Jorge Mendes. And according to Spanish journalist Marçal Lorente, who broke the news on El Chiringuito last night, Marco Asensio is set to sign for PSG this summer.

This information has yet to be confirmed by other sources. According to Fabrizio Romano, Asensio will indeed be leaving Real Madrid, and PSG are pushing his agent Jorge Mendes to convince him. However, the Italian journalist remains cautious at this stage, and does not confirm that everything has been finalized between Asensio and Paris.
