Former teammate of Leo Messi at Barça and Amazon Prime's leading consultant, Thierry Henry gave his feelings on the future of the Argentine on the sidelines of the PSG-OL match (0-1). For the 98 world champion, Messi must return to Barça.

Whistled by a part of the Parc des Princes on Sunday evening at the announcement of the teams, Leo Messi delivered a very disappointing game against OL. The Argentine tried a lot, but missed almost everything and gave the impression of not being the one who has amazed the soccer planet for 15 years. A recurrence, unfortunately, since his arrival in Paris, despite some brilliant moves and good statistics this season.

For several days now, his extension at PSG seems to be getting further away and a return to Barça, to complete the loop, is more and more talked about. Questioned on the subject on Sunday evening on the sidelines of PSG-OL, Thierry Henry expressed his desire to see Messi return to Barcelona.

"For the love of football and because he did not leave as he should have left"

"Personally I would like, it's a wish, to see him finish his European career at Barça," Henry told Prime Video. After that, I do not know what he will do. Because the way he left this club, after all he did, I did not like it very much... I would like to see him finish his career at Barça. Now, I'm not telling you that he should leave (from PSG) or not leave. It's a wish. There are people up there (referring to the Parisian management) who are there to manage it. I'm happy to see him in the French league. Now, also, the whistles last time don't help. Thirteen goals, thirteen assists (in Ligue 1 this season), we're talking about the best player in the world at the moment, OK? So it's not obvious."

"I repeat, it's a wish, to see him return to Barça for the love of football and because he didn't leave as he should have," added Henry. It's something that has stuck in my throat a little and I think also in his, because he still cried at his press conference. As a lover of the sport that Leo Messi plays, I would have liked him to leave Barça a little better. Now, when will he go back there? I don't know."
