Mercato PSG: Marcus Thuram after Skriniar and Asensio?

Having reached the end of his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Marcus Thuram is set to dominate the summer transfer market, and has already received a number of offers. According to Spanish media outlet Relevo, PSG are the most insistent club in this dossier.

Three's company? On the verge of signing Milan Skriniar and Marco Asensio, both at the end of their contracts, PSG are also interested in another soon-to-be free agent: Marcus Thuram.

The 25-year-old French World Cup runner-up is coming off a fine season with Borussia Mönchengladbach, scoring 16 goals as a centre-forward. His contract expires on June 30 and he has decided not to extend it.

PSG insist on Thuram...

On May 23, L'Equipe revealed that Marcus Thuram was targeting a club fighting for the title and Champions League final victory and which would guarantee him to play in his new axial striker position. The sports daily added that Khephren's older brother had already received three concrete offers from Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan and a German club.

But according to Spanish media outlet Relevo, the most insistent club in the Marcus Thuram dossier is... Paris Saint-Germain. This information has not yet been confirmed in France, although Kylian Mbappé's international team-mate has already been linked with PSG in recent months.

An alternative to Kane, Osimhen and Kolo Muani?

PSG are making no secret of the fact that they want to recruit a centre-forward this summer. Until now, however, the Parisian club seemed more interested in players of the calibre of Harry Kane (Tottenham), Victor Osimhen (Napoli) and Randal Kolo Muani (Frankfurt). Three goalscorers in the ascendancy, but also highly sought-after.

Have PSG lost interest in all three? That could explain why they've opted for Marcus Thuram... a player Kylian Mbappé knows well and appreciates, and who has the advantage over the other three of being at the end of his contract.
