Marco Asensio is well on the way to signing a free contract with PSG, according to a number of concordant sources, and details of his future Parisian contract have begun to filter through.

After the Spanish press, several international media have confirmed the imminent arrival of Marco Asensio at PSG. The Spanish attacking midfielder, who is represented by Jorge Mendes, has decided to leave Real Madrid this summer when his contract expires.

According to Florian Plettenberg, a German journalist working for Sky Sports and specializing in the mercato, negotiations are at an advanced stage between Asensio and PSG. A contract of at least four years awaits him in Paris, until 2027, according to this source. AS spoke earlier on Thursday of a 4-5 year contract.

A salary of €10m/year awaits Asensio at PSG

According to The Athletic, Asensio will indeed sign a long-term contract in Paris, and his salary is expected to be €10 million a year, including bonuses. The English media outlet adds that the contract has not yet been signed and should be finalized next week, once the La Liga season is over.

As for a possible signing bonus for Marco Asensio, the Sports Zone Twitter account talks of 15 million euros to be shared between the player and his agent Jorge Mendes, with a breakdown yet to be defined.
