Bayern Munich make their first summer recruit official

Bayern Munich have kicked off their summer mercato with the signing of Austrian midfielder Konrad Laimer, who has been available since the end of his contract with RB Leipzig.

Crowned German champions for the 33rd time in their history, Bayern Munich made their first summer signing official on Friday. And, as had already been rumoured for several months, it is Austrian midfielder Konrad Laimer (26), who has signed from Leipzig until June 2027.

"It's a dream come true for me. FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I'm going to give everything for the club and the fans. FC Bayern always has the highest goals, just like me. I'm in the right place here. I'm capable of giving 100%, and that's what I'll be doing at every training session from day one. I'm looking forward to it," said the Austrian international.

According to several corroborating sources, Bayern Munich have also completed the signing of Franco-Portuguese left-back <a href=/news/mercato-raphael-guerreiro-agrees-deal-with-bayern-munich>Raphaël Guerreiro, at the end of his contract at Borussia Dortmund.
