Zinedine Zidane is the dream of PSG and the Emir of Qatar, but is also being courted in Saudi Arabia by Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo's club, who want to make him Rudi Garcia's successor. A destination that does not interest Zizou.

It is now two years since Zinedine Zidane left Real Madrid and stopped coaching. After waiting on the bench for the French national team, Zizou came to his senses following Didier Deschamps' extension until June 2026, and should soon find a new club or national team.

On the face of it, Zidane will not be Cristiano Ronaldo's future coach at Al Nassr. As revealed last April by American media outlet CBS Sports, the Saudi club has made a verbal offer to the French soccer legend. But according to FootMercato, this generous offer of €150 million over two years was rejected by Zidane, who is aiming for a big club in one of Europe's big five leagues.

PSG, Juventus or Real Madrid for Zidane?

Last month, RMC Sport reported that Zinedine Zidane's priority was to coach his former club Juventus, who could soon be parting company with Massimiliano Allegri. However, the latest reports in the Italian press, notably the Turin sports daily Tuttosport on Friday, suggest that Juventus are more interested in Thiago Motta (Bologna) and Igor Tudor (OM).

Zinedine Zidane is also still being touted by the French press as the Qatari emir's dream candidate for the PSG bench, but it seems unlikely that the Marseille native will join Paris this summer. His name is also being bandied about at Real Madrid, where Carlo Ancelotti's future remains uncertain.

"Zidane is not ready to accept anything and everything!

On Thursday, Christophe Dugarry spoke to RMC Sport about the future of his friend Zidane, and gave a few pointers: "Zidane isn't ready to accept anything and everything! He's not going to end up in a club that doesn't interest him, that doesn't please him, where he's not able to convey his knowledge of soccer, his emotions, his desire because he doesn't speak the language. For him, it's very important to be able to communicate with his players. If he doesn't coach this year, he'll coach next year. The strength of being called Zinedine Zidane and having succeeded as he has as a coach is that he can take over when he feels like it and when he has the right project."
