Official: Milan sign Mike Maignan's new understudy

In their search for a new number 2 goalkeeper, AC Milan announced on Wednesday the signing of Italian goalkeeper Marco Sportiello (31), who joins from Atalanta Bergamo.
Appearing 15 times in Serie A last season for Atalanta Bergamo, Italian goalkeeper Marco Sportiello (31) was at the end of his contract with the Dea on June 30, and has now signed a new contract with AC Milan until June 2027, where he will be Mike Maignan's new understudy.

AC Milan needed a new number 2 goalkeeper, as Ciprian Tatarusanu (37) and Antonio Mirante (39) are due to expire on June 30, 2023.
