Official: Leicester City recruits Harry Winks
A 10-time England international, Harry Winks leaves Tottenham for Leicester City, relegated to the Championship.
Only in England can a club relegated to the second division afford to buy an international player for more than 11 million euros. On loan from Tottenham to Sampdoria last season, English defensive midfielder Harry Winks (27, 10 England caps) signed a new contract with Leicester City on Saturday, running until June 2026.

Harry Winks will replace Belgian midfielder <a href=/news/official-youri-tielemans-signs-for-aston-villa>Youri Tielemans, who has signed for Aston Villa. Winks' transfer is valued at £10m, or around €11.6m at today's exchange rate.
On Wednesday, English attacking midfielder <a href=/news/official-tottenham-sign-maddison-for-eur46m>James Maddison left Leicester City for Tottenham for €46 million.
