Sixth in last season's Premier League and qualified for the Europa League, Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton have signed promising 20-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht.

A regular at Anderlecht last season, Bart Verbruggen (20, 1m94) signed for the Premier League six months later. The promising Dutch goalkeeper has signed a new contract with Brighton, who finished 6th in the Premier League last season, until June 2028.

According to the English and Belgian press, the Seagulls paid 19 million euros for Bart Verbruggen, who will be competing with 32-year-old Jason Steele at Brighton.

Bart Verbruggen is already Brighton's fourth summer recruit after Brazilian striker João Pedro (Watford, €34m) and midfielders James Milner (Liverpool, available) and Mahmoud Dahoud (Borussia Dortmund, available).
