Official: Brentford announces €26m recruit

Ninth in the Premier League last season, Brentford have just acquired the services of Irish central defender Nathan Collins (22) from Wolverhampton.
After just one season with Wolves, Nathan Collins is leaving to join London club Brentford, who finished 9th in the Premier League last season. The 22-year-old Irish international center-back has committed himself to the Bees until June 2029, with a further two years as an option.
Transfer fee? 26.8 million euros, no less. Nathan Collins is Brentford's second summer signing after Dutch goalkeeper Mark Flekken (30), recruited last month for 13 million euros.
