Official: Benfica acquire Orkun Kökcü

SL Benfica announced on Saturday the signing of Turkish midfielder Orkun Kökcü (22) from Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Midfielder and captain of Feyenoord Rotterdam, who have just won the Eredivisie, Orkun Kökcü (22) signed for Benfica Lisbon on Saturday until June 2028, having previously been linked with PSG and Rennes.

The Portuguese club and their Dutch counterpart have agreed a transfer fee of €25m plus €5m in bonuses, plus a percentage of any future resale value.

Having enjoyed a great season with Feyenoord, Orkun Kökcü has inherited Benfica's legendary No.10 shirt, once worn by the likes of Rui Costa and Pablo Aimar, and has a €150m release clause in his new contract.
