Official: Barça sign Mikayil Faye
On Monday, Barça announced the signing of promising Senegalese defender Mikayil Faye (18) from the Croatian second division.
Mikayil Faye (18), a promising Senegalese defender who spent his youth at the Diambars academy, which had a partnership with OM, has officially committed himself to Barça and its reserve team until June 2027. Barça have included a €400 million release clause in his contract, no less.

Mikayil Faye, an athletic left-footed defender who can play on either side of the pitch, had been playing for several months with NK Kustosija, a Croatian second division club with whom he played 14 matches in 2023. According to Fabrizio Romano, the price of his transfer has not been communicated by Barça, but would be 5 million euros plus bonuses.
