On Tuesday, Tottenham announced the appointment of new coach Ange Postecoglou, who joins from Celtic FC.

Having finished a disappointing 8th in the Premier League at the end of the 2022-2023 season, Spurs have found their new coach. As had been rumoured in recent days, the new coach is 57-year-old Greek-Australian Ange Postecoglou, who has signed a four-year contract running until June 2027.

A former Australia coach, Ange Postecoglou is coming off two successful seasons in Scotland with Celtic FC. He won the double in his first season, then the treble in his second, and his name was also linked with OM last week.

"Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play. He has solid experience in player development and understands the importance of the link with the academy - everything that is important to our club. We are delighted to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead," enthused Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Ange Postecoglou takes over from Antonio Conte, who left Spurs at the end of March before being replaced by his assistant Cristian Stellini and then Ryan Mason.
