Recently bought out by BlueCo, which also owns Chelsea, Strasbourg is set to snap up promising young Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel, whom the London club will acquire for €15 million.

Although Chelsea do not intend to send Strasbourg 10 players on loan, some players are likely to move between the two clubs, which now share the same owner (BlueCo). According to a number of Brazilian and English media reports, Chelsea are set to sign 18-year-old Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel for €15 million, then loan him out to Strasbourg.

Chelsea to sign Angelo for €15 million

Angelo Gabriel previously played for Santos, with whom he has already made 129 professional appearances at the age of just 18 (he turns 19 in December). According to The Athletic, the left-footed player, who often plays on the right wing, is set to commit himself to the Blues until June 2028, before spending a season on loan at Strasbourg.

A Brazilian U20 international, Angelo Gabriel could also have signed for Barcelona, who had an option to match any offer accepted by Santos. However, according to all the Brazilian and English media reporting on the subject, Barcelona decided not to use this option, allowing Chelsea to win the bid.
