Mercato PSG: young Brazilian midfielder in the sights
According to the Brazilian press, last week PSG took a close look at Rodriguinho, a promising 19-year-old midfielder from São Paulo FC.
As well as looking to strengthen PSG's first team with established players, Luis Campos is keeping a close eye on the youth market. According to UOL Esporte, 19-year-old Rodriguinho was spotted by PSG last week during his team's 2-1 win over Athletico Paranaense. An axial, right-handed midfielder, Rodriguinho came on at half-time and made his mark.
Rodriguinho has the same agent as Marquinhos
According to UOL Esporte, PSG supervised his match, as did PSV Eindhoven and LA Galaxy. Under contract with São Paulo FC until December 2026, Rodriguinho could be the subject of offers worth around €6 million this summer, according to the Brazilian media outlet.
However, in the entourage of the Brazilian U16 international, who has the same agent as a certain Marquinhos and has only made 11 professional appearances, the idea would clearly be to stay in Brazil for at least one more year before being transferred for a sum close to 20 million euros. A scenario for which São Paulo FC would undoubtedly sign up.
