Mercato PSG : Xavi Simons' buyout clause is €6m
PSG have a very affordable €6m buyout option for Xavi Simons, but they have the final say.
Xavi Simons, who was joint top scorer in the last Dutch league with 19 goals, exploded onto the scene last season with PSV Eindhoven.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has become a Dutch international, and all the big European clubs are keeping a close eye on his progress. Last year, the Barça-trained player left PSG free at the end of his contract, but the Parisian club negotiated an option to buy him back, the value of which was often announced at €12m.
Xavi Simons to have the last word
According to Fabrizio Romano, this buy-back clause is actually only worth €6 million and is valid from July 1 to July 31. If PSG decide to activate it, PSV won't be able to do anything, but Xavi Simons will have the last word. If he doesn't want to return to Paris, he doesn't have to.

It can only be activated in July, from 1 to 31st.

PSV Eindhoven, who have just appointed Peter Bosz as coach, hope to keep their jewel for at least one more season, but according to Romano, several big clubs are keeping abreast of developments in the case, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Brighton, Tottenhal, Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig.
It also remains to be seen what Luis Enrique, future coach of PSG, will think of this Xavi Simons dossier, which he surely heard about when he was at Barça.
