Mercato PSG, Rennes: Orkun Kökcü on his way to Lisbon
Turkish international Orkun Kökcü, rumored to be in the sights of PSG and Rennes, is close to signing for Benfica Lisbon.
Having enjoyed a great season with Feyenoord Rotterdam, who were crowned Dutch champions, Turkish international Orkun Kökcü is unlikely to sign for Ligue 1 during the summer mercato. His name had been linked to PSG by Relevo, then to Rennes by FootMercato.
However, according to several Dutch and Portuguese media, the 22-year-old midfielder is set to sign a contract with Benfica Lisbon until June 2028, where his salary would be tripled compared to his current Rotterdam salary.
Benfica to pay €30m for Orkan Kökcü
The transfer fee is expected to be €30m, including 75% of his economic rights. Feyenoord, who were asking for €40m, are expected to retain 25% of their economic rights, according to Record.
