Mercato PSG : Manuel Ugarte in approach, it is confirmed !
Following the Portuguese press, the sports daily L'Equipe confirms that Manuel Ugarte is very close to becoming the first recruit of the summer mercato of PSG.
While we reported a few minutes ago the information from the Portuguese daily Record that PSG had sent an official offer of 60 million euros for Manuel Ugarte, the Uruguayan defensive midfielder of Sporting CP, the French sports daily L'Equipe claims that the transfer is almost complete.
According to L'Equipe, PSG will lift the €60 million release clause of the 22-year-old player, who should be the first recruit of the summer mercato of PSG, "unless the situation changes". Despite the interest of several English clubs, some sources consulted by L'Equipe are convinced that Ugarte will land in Paris.
Caution, however, since the sports daily Record mentioned this morning a dispute between Sporting CP and Famalicão, Ugarte's former club, regarding the distribution of the transfer, Famalicão still having a percentage on the player that Sporting CP would like to reduce. A dispute not mentioned by the daily L'Equipe.
