PSG's search for a top-class centre-forward continues this mercato, and they continue to be linked with Harry Kane, who has just one year left on his contract at Tottenham.

Barring a now highly improbable turn of events, Luis Enrique will be PSG's new coach this week. A renowned coach with a strong personality, Enrique intends to influence the Parisian club's summer mercato. Could this, for example, influence the situation of Neymar, whom he knew at Barça and who is being pushed out by his management? That remains to be seen.

In today's edition of Le Parisien, the French daily reveals that Luis Enrique intends to discuss his mercato ideas with other Parisian decision-makers, including PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. According to the regional daily, the latter is pushing internally to recruit Harry Kane, who has just one year left on his contract at Tottenham and is also on the radar of Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Kane rather than Osimhen or Kolo Muani?

This is nothing new, as <a href=/news/mercato-psg-dreams-of-harry-kane>Le Parisien reported on it back in April. There has been no real progress since then, but Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is still exploring the possibility, or at least hoping to.

Two days ago, Italian journalist Matteo Moretto was already talking about Harry Kane: "PSG are considering a concrete operation for Harry Kane. PSG are looking for an out-and-out striker. It's an objective, whatever the new coach. Osimhen is much appreciated, but his price is very high, as is that of Randal Kolo Muani, who is of interest to Bayern. In recent days, the name of Harry Kane, who has a contract until 2024 with Tottenham, has gained momentum," tweeted the Relevo journalist.

The big question now is whether Harry Kane will agree to leave the Premier League, with Alan Shearer's goal record in his sights, and above all whether Daniel Levy will agree to let his captain and best player go with a year to go on his contract. In any case, Paris clearly intends to take its chances and offer its new coach a renowned striker.
