Monchi has made his first big move at Aston Villa. The former Sevilla sporting director, who has just been appointed chairman of soccer operations at the English club, has completed the transfer of Pau Torres, the 26-year-old Spanish central defender with 23 caps.
According to The Athletic, an agreement has been reached between Aston Villa and Villarreal for the transfer of the left-handed central defender. The price is not specified, but is said to be in the region of €40 million.
