Mercato OM: two offensive leads to forget

According to the latest indiscretions of La Provence, Moussa Dembélé and Wilfried Zaha will not join the OM during the summer mercato.

At the end of their contracts at OL and Crystal Palace on June 30, Moussa Dembélé (26) and Wilfried Zaha (30) have been associated with OM in recent days for the summer mercato. But according to La Provence, neither of them will join the city this summer.

According to the regional daily, OM had made enquiries about Moussa Dembélé some time ago, but the 26-year-old centre-forward's financial demands were "considered exorbitant" and the case was quickly closed by OM.

Zaha, the false lead?

While L'Equipe explained this morning that the Wilfried Zaha file was on stand-by, after the player was offered to Marseille, La Provence goes further and assures that the 30-year-old Ivorian striker has never interested OM. A track therefore to forget.

On the other hand, the Provencal daily is optimistic about a contract extension for Alexis Sanchez. His agent met with Pablo Longoria in Marseille last week and the two parties have planned to meet again soon to move forward. OM would be confident that even a third place in Ligue 1, which is now in their sights, should not prevent them from obtaining the extension of the Chilean.
