Mercato OM: someone close to the Gallardo case speaks out
Marcelo Gallardo is due to give OM his answer in the next few hours, and someone close to the matter has just spoken.
A French journalist working for France Football and L'Equipe, Florent Torchut has interviewed Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi and Marcelo Gallardo during his career. Gallardo is being courted by OM to take over from Igor Tudor, and is due to give Pablo Longoria his answer in the next few hours.
"A 'normal' coach would have already said yes".
On Twitter this Friday morning, Florent Torchut confirmed that the ball was in the former River Plate coach's court, and reported what someone close to the matter had told him: "Marseille has responded favorably to all his requests. A 'normal' coach would have already said yes, but he's not a 'normal' coach... He's received the final offer, now it's up to him."

Gallardo's demands include a well-stocked staff and a say in the mercato. Both conditions have been accepted by OM, who have reportedly given him a contract for either one or two years, depending on the source, bearing in mind that in France, a coach must officially commit to at least two seasons. The suspense remains, but should soon come to an end.
