Leonardo Bonucci could leave Juventus Turin this summer, a year before the end of his contract, to get some playing time ahead of Euro 2024. And according to the Italian press, OM are the club to watch out for.

In the next few days, OM and Juventus Turin are expected to finalize the definitive transfer of <a href=/news/mercato-om-juve-will-finally-pay-eur7m-for-milik>Arkadiusz Milik to Turin for 7 million euros plus bonuses. Will the two clubs take the opportunity to discuss Italian central defender Leonardo Bonucci?

Aged 36, the experienced Italian defender has just one year left on his contract at Juventus, where a substitute status awaits him next season, according to Tuttosport. The problem is that Bonucci wants to play for Italy at Euro 2024, and knows that he will need game time at club level if he is to remain in Roberto Mancini's plans.

Bonucci to replace Bailly at OM?

According to Turin sports daily Tuttosport, Bonucci's departure this summer is therefore a credible option, and his agent Alessandro Lucci is already hard at work looking for alternatives to Juventus, if possible at a club competing in a European Cup.

Without saying much more, Tuttosport mentions OM as a club to keep an eye on. The Old Lady could even pay part of Bonucci's salary (estimated at €12m/year) to facilitate his departure. Could this be of interest to Pablo Longoria, who will have to replace Eric Bailly on his return to Manchester United?
