In their search for a successor to Igor Tudor, OM are interested in Marcelo Gallardo, according to the latest reports in Le Parisien.

The name game is in full swing in Marseille for Igor Tudor's successor. Last week, FootMercato revealed that <a href=/news/mercato-om-8-names-to-replace-tudor>Marcelo Gallardo was at the top of Marseille's list. The following day, L'Equipe temporized, explaining that the Argentine had simply been offered to OM.

According to Le Parisien, Gallardo is indeed on the radar of Marseille's management, with whom "contacts are real". The former River Plate coach has been free since leaving the Argentinian club at the end of last year, and would like to coach in Europe.

The Iraola lead has already cooled

The regional daily also mentions the names of Vincenzo Italiano (Fiorentina), who will contest the Europa League final this Wednesday evening against West Ham and is also of interest to Napoli, and Raffaele Palladino, who has just extended his contract with Monza until 2024.

Revealed by Marca yesterday, sources close to the matter consulted by Le Parisien have now cooled their interest in Andoni Iraola. In Spain, the former Rayo Vallecano coach has been rumoured to be heading to Celta Vigo in recent hours.
