Mercato OM: Gallardo close? Those around him calm things down
According to a number of reports from Spain and Argentina, Marcelo Gallardo is close to signing for OM, although his entourage are taking a wait-and-see attitude.
Will OM fans know Igor Tudor's successor this week? In the last few hours, Marcelo Gallardo's profile has been raised. According to Argentine journalist Sebastián Srur of Radio Continental, Pablo Longoria met with Marcelo Gallardo in Istanbul at the weekend, as well as with Alexis Sanchez, who has reportedly given OM the go-ahead to extend his contract, on condition that Gallardo comes in.

Gallardo's entourage deny an agreement with OM
In Spain, the daily AS reports that negotiations are well advanced between OM and Gallardo, who is "one step away from becoming the club's new coach". This enthusiasm is tempered, however, by the Argentine coach's entourage, who assured TyC Sports that nothing has yet been finalized with the club. The "Muñeco"'s entourage did not, however, deny that negotiations were underway with OM.
Over the last few days, L'Equipe has reported that Marcelo Gallardo and Paulo Fonseca (Lille) were two coaches who appealed greatly to the OM management team. Over the weekend, the Italian press also mentioned Marseille's interest in Fabio Grosso, the Italian world champion who played for Juventus and OL and recently won Serie B with Frosinone.
