Young Portuguese striker Iuri Moreira (19) is set to leave Benfica Lisbon for OM.

With only Vitinha as a true professional center-forward, OM will have to get busy on the transfer market to bolster the attacking sector of their new coach Marcelino, who favors a flat 4-4-2 formation, even if he confided at his presentation on Tuesday that he was capable of adjusting and also playing in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation.

While the future of Alexis Sanchez, free since June 30, is uncertain, OM are set to recruit young Portuguese centre-forward Iuri Moreira (1m85), according to L'Equipe. The 19-year-old has been available since the end of his contract with Benfica Lisbon, with whom he has never played first-team football.

Ligue 1 picks up Benfica

Last season, Iuri Moreira made 24 appearances for the Portuguese club's youth teams, scoring just 3 goals and providing 3 assists (0 goals in the Youth League). A right-footed player, he has not been capped by any of Portugal's youth teams.

Benfica Lisbon also had another young Moreira in its ranks, named Diego, but the more highly-rated latter recently signed for Chelsea. Promising Benfica midfielder Cher Ndour will shortly be signing for PSG.
