Le Parisien reports on the Marco Verratti case on Tuesday and reveals that while Manchester City have made enquiries, the Italian midfielder is giving his priority to PSG.

With Lionel Messi and Neymar, Marco Verratti is the other PSG star likely to leave the French capital during the summer mercato. The darling of the Parisian fans for many years, the "Little Owl" has seen his popularity drop in recent months, to the point that his leaders no longer rule out selling him, despite a contract recently extended until 2026.

For his part, Marco Verratti is also open to a departure according to L'Equipe and RMC Sport for example. In its edition of the day, Le Parisien confirms a certain fed up of the Italian facing criticism that he considers unfair for the most part. The French daily also confirms that PSG is a seller, but only in case of a big check. L'Equipe also explained yesterday that Paris would not facilitate a transfer of Verratti to Real Madrid.

Verratti to replace Gündogan?

According to Le Parisien, Manchester City has recently made some enquiries about Verratti to the PSG management. The English champion may lose Ilkay Gündogan at the end of his contract and is considering the possibility of recruiting a midfielder. As PSG is interested in Bernardo Silva, could the two clubs find a common ground?

This remains to be seen. Because according to Le Parisien, and this is an important piece of information, Marco Verratti would not have a strong desire to leave and would still give his priority to PSG, despite the trying season he has just lived. Unless he is strongly pushed towards the exit by his leaders, the Italian could still stay in Paris, where he has played for eleven years.
