Mercato Lens: Kevin Danso close to an extension

Austrian central defender Kevin Danso (24) was much in demand after his outstanding season, but he is now set to stay and extend his contract with Lens.
Seko Fofana may be on the verge of giving in to the Saudi sirens, but not all of RC Lens' key players will be jumping ship this summer. As revealed by Foot Mercato on Wednesday evening, Lens is holding talks with Austrian central defender Kevin Danso (24) with a view to extending his contract, which expires in 2026.
According to La Voix du Nord, Kevin Danso's extension is close to being finalized and could soon be made official. This is a coup on the part of RC Lens, as Napoli, Milan and several Premier League clubs were also interested, according to FM.
