Mercato: Busquets moves closer to Messi's Inter Miami
Free since the end of his contract at Barça, Sergio Busquets is close to signing for Inter Miami, Lionel Messi's future club.
Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets will not be reunited at Barcelona next season, but will most likely be in Miami. As revealed by RAC 1 and confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, the 34-year-old Catalan defensive midfielder is set to sign a two-year deal with Inter Miami, which the Argentine has also chosen to join.

Sergio Busquets was also being courted in Saudi Arabia, but opted for MLS and the Inter Miami franchise, where he should enjoy "designated player" status, like Lionel Messi Josef Martínez.
Jordi Alba, another free agent since leaving Barça, is also being tipped to join Inter Miami, according to the two Catalan media outlets mentioned above. However, the Spanish left-back is not expected to enjoy "designated player" status.
