Franck Kessié, who joined Barça as a free agent last summer, could be sold this summer to bolster the club's coffers. Chelsea and a Saudi club are on his trail.

Franck Kessié is the latest European-based player to be linked with Saudi Arabia. According to The Athletic, Saudi club Al-Hilal, where Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is set to sign this week, want to recruit Barcelona's Ivorian midfielder, who arrived in Catalonia as a free agent last summer.

According to Gerard Romero, Al-Ahli are offering Barça €20m and Kessié €10m a year. However, according to The Athletic, Barça are hoping for at least €30m, while Kessié has already told the Saudi club that they will have to increase their offer if they are to have any chance of convincing him to leave Barça.

Chelsea also on the lookout for Kessié

According to Relevo, Kessié's main desire is to stay at Barcelona, even though he is likely to play much less following the recent signing of Ilkay Gündogan.

According to the same source, Mauricio Pochettino would also like to bring Kessié back to Chelsea to replace Mateo Kovavic, and the 26-year-old would not be insensitive to the idea of joining the Premier League.
