Mercato: Arsenal send €122m for Declan Rice
On Tuesday evening, Arsenal submitted a third bid of 122 million euros to West Ham for their English defensive midfielder Declan Rice.
Arsenal insist on Declan Rice. After two unsuccessful bids (the latest for 104 million euros) and the arrival of Manchester City on the scene, the Gunners made a new offer of 122 million euros (116 6 in bonuses) to West Ham for Declan Rice on Tuesday evening, according to The Athletic.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal have tonight submitted a massive offer to West Ham for England midfielder Declan Rice. Proposal is for £100m £5m in add-ons - would be a record for a British player as AFC try to agree deal with WHUFC for top target @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/ZuFqkCbQcE— David Ornstein (@David_Ornstein) June 27, 2023
Should the Hammers accept this offer, Declan Rice would become the most expensive British player in Premier League history in terms of transfer fee. Manchester City may not have said their last word, however, and could come back to the table in the next few hours.
According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham are waiting for Manchester City to make a bid before responding to Arsenal's offer. In any case, the English vice-champion is confident and Mikel Arteta is pushing hard to convince the player to choose his club over that of his compatriot Pep Guardiola.
