N'Golo Kanté has accepted Al-Ittihad's lucrative offer to join Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia.

After Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, Saudi Arabia is set to welcome a new star in the shape of N'Golo Kanté, world champion with the French national team in 2018.

Having reached the end of his contract with Chelsea on June 30, Kanté has accepted an offer from Al-Ittihad, Karim Benzema's new club. This information was revealed by Ben Jacobs on Wednesday and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano and AFP.

Kanté to earn €100m a year in Saudi Arabia

The 32-year-old French international has agreed to a two-year contract, with a third year as an option, and will earn €100 million a year between his salary, image rights and various commercial agreements.

Again, a very nice move by Saudi Arabia, <a href=/news/neither-barca-nor-saudi-arabia-lionel-messi-chooses-inter-miami>which, however, did not convince Lionel Messi. The Argentinian, who was being courted by Al Hilal and Barça, has decided to move to MLS side Inter Miami.
