Chelsea make their first summer signing official... 2025 !

Chelsea have confirmed the forthcoming transfer of Ecuadorian prospect Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle. The transfer will take effect in 2025, when the 16-year-old comes of age.

A great hope for Ecuadorian soccer, left-sided attacking midfielder Kendry Paez will play for the Blues from the 2025-2026 season, as he will come of age in May 2025 (international transfers are banned before the age of 18).

In the meantime, the talented Ecuadorian number 10, who recently excelled at the U20 World Cup (when he was just 16), will continue his progress at Independiente del Valle. According to Fabrizio Romano, his transfer is valued at €20 million, including bonuses.
