Bayern Munich rival Manchester United for Kim Min-jae

Likely to lose Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez at the mercato, Bayern Munich are interested in South Korean center-back Kim Min-jae, who has enjoyed a great season with Napoli.

World champions with the French national team in 2018, Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez are keen to leave Bayern Munich this summer, the latter to join PSG. The German club therefore needs to strengthen its central defense during the mercato, and a new lead has emerged in recent hours.

As revealed by FootMercato and subsequently confirmed by several German media outlets, Bayern Munich are considering Kim Min-jae, who has enjoyed a great season with Napoli. A defender who was linked with PSG a few weeks ago and who could now replace Lucas Hernandez in Bavaria.

Bayern Munich in pole position?

The South Korean international has a release clause of around 50 million euros, valid until July, and the challenge for Bayern Munich will be to win him over. In recent days, Kim Min-jae seemed to have been promised to Manchester United, who remain in the running according to FM, along with Newcastle.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Bayern Munich are now in pole position.
