The Dutch coach Arne Slot, who was courted by Tottenham, announced on Thursday that he had decided to stay at Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Arne Slot will not be the next coach of Tottenham. Presented in recent days as the priority of Spurs to succeed Antonio Conte and the interim Ryan Mason, the 44-year-old Dutch coach has decided to stay at Feyenoord Rotterdam, with whom he just won the Eredivisie.

"I have heard a lot about the interest of other clubs in me. I am grateful for the appreciation that this expresses, but my wish is to stay at Feyenoord and continue to build on the foundations that have been laid over the last two seasons," he told the Dutch media AD on Thursday, while his representative Rafaela Pimenta met with Feyenoord management on Wednesday.

"I'm looking forward to the new season at Feyenoord".

"There are no transfer negotiations going on, there have been none and yesterday's discussion was only about a possible extension. All conversations with Feyenoord are only about that. I am looking forward to the new season at Feyenoord," added Arne Slot, who will therefore not be the next coach of Tottenham. According to Fabrizio Romano, Slot will even extend his current contract, which expires in 2025.

Disappointing 8th in the Premier League, the London club has been associated in recent weeks with several other coaches such as Julian Nagelsmann, Mauricio Pochettino or Luis Enrique, but none of these tracks have been successful.
